Our Supreme Ultra baby diapers combine fluff pulp with super absorbent polymer (SAP) in the absorbent inner core. SAP is significantly more absorbent and better able to retain liquids than fluff pulp.
Super Absorbent Polyacrilate or SAP is typically used in granular form, similar to table salt. It absorbs the baby's urine and turns it into a gel that is trapped beneath a cover sheet that allows the baby to stay drier and helps to prevent diaper rash. The gel that is formed moulds to the shape of the baby's body making the diaper more comfortable.
The SAP helps to improve the capacity and retention of the disposable diaper, allowing for thinner products with improved performance. SAP is a cross-linked sodium polyacrylate capable of absorbing upto 30 times its weight.
The thinner diaper is more comfortable for the baby, and friendly to the environment. The use of SAP has reduced the weight of a typical medium size diaper by about 50%.
Polyacrilate, despite its scientific name is harmless. It is a high molecular weight dispersion that is not absorbed by body tissues and is totally safe for oral consumption. Tests for toxicological tolerance show that it is non-toxic and safe.
With the SAP, a new high performance Ultra Baby Diaper was made possible, not only are the diapers thinner, but they also have greater retention and improved performance.
In the United States about 93% of Americans choose to use disposable diapers for their babies.
